When charging for the first time, this ASUS L5000 battery may indicate that charing is finish after charging around 15 mins. To solve it, just simply remove the ASUS L5000 battery from your laptop and then restart to charge it again, it's better to charge it over 12 hours. After finishing the battery charging, pls completely exhaust the ASUS L5000 battery without adapter pluging in your laptop, that is very important for prolonging the ASUS L5000 battery life.

Repeat the above procedure about 4 times, and do make sure the ASUS L5000 battery has been fully charged and fully exhausted. When the ASUS L5000 Battery is fully conditioned, the battery charger indicators and LEDs on your laptop and charger can work reliably
A new ASUS L5000 Battery comes in a discharged condition must be charged before use (refer to the devices manual for charging instructions). Upon initial use (or after a long storage period), this ASUS L5000 Battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity.
